Well the date came and went, but needless to say i smelled something fishy when it came to the dates. As stated before, in my Versace Pt 1 post. fashion and dates never seem to match up in the fashion world. this past Thursday the 17th, NorthPark center was due to debut its Versace for H&M collection, even signage in the amazing coming soon window gave a full on description of how to shop the coming collection as well as a bold date of Nov. 17th.
Among several press releases i have received all said a date release of November 17th as well as the 19th caused major confusion. DFW’s style bloggers and Editors all seem to be taken by this mix up. In fact a new H&M trend seems to be surfacing, some notable style icons in DFW are now black listing the retailer. I cant help but recall the Devil Wears Prada “Pursing of the lips” action that DFW Style-istas are now taking part in.
However, it goes without saying that this was a mishap, in fact I cant help but wonder if it was done purposely in order to cause confusion among shoppers in hopes of managing those infamous H&M lines.
But with all this said November 19th seems to be the date, How set in stone it is, who knows? What I do know is that I seem to be unfrayed by this miscommunication, in fact it was a blessing in disguise given I have one more day to plan my protocol.
